Waterfront Living in Epping Forest
There are only about 300 homes in Epping Forest. The great majority of them are not waterfront. So when a rare waterfront opportunity does come around, it tends to move fast.
This stunning Craftsman cottage offers breathtaking views off the Severn River from Saltworks Creek. It was recently updated with a new roof, remodeled bathrooms, and an expanded upper-level balcony. With 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and an open floor plan that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor spaces, every detail embodies graceful waterfront living.
Step onto the covered porch for al fresco dining, unwind by the fire pit, or head down to your private deep water floating dock with a 50-foot slip. And as a member of the Epping Forest community, youâll enjoy awesome amenities like a clubhouse, sandy beach, tennis courts, and year-round community events.
Donât miss your chance to live in one of Annapolisâ most unique communities. Contact Brad Kappel today for a private tour.

A very special Dog of the Week
Dog of the Week has quickly become one of our favorite things to write. Normally, we feature an adoptable cutie at the SPCA. But this week, weâd like to introduce you to Sadie, Naptown Scoopâs new mascot.

Sheâs a bernedoodle (Bernese mountain dog & toy poodle) weighing in at 9 pounds and counting. Sadie loves chasing tennis balls, morning belly rubs, and watching crime shows. Sadie does not love going potty outside, waking up from naps, or being brushed.
Sadieâs also a happy patient at Western Shore Veterinary Hospital who weâve worked with for years and is now the official vet of Naptown Scoop. We love Dr. Bailey and her team and are confident you will, too. If youâre getting a new puppy and need a vet, itâs the place to go.

Cheers to William and Mary Paca đ»
There are antiques and then there are antiques. We think drinkware made in 1763 falls squarely into the latter category. And it just so happens that Historic Annapolis (HA) and the Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) recently won an auction bid on two silver canns once belonging to founding father William Paca and his wife, Mary. HA and MCHC plan to display these historic artifacts and incorporate them into celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution coming up next year.

đ€ Whatâs a cann? If the term cann sounds unfamiliar, thatâs okay â these vessels were common in the 1700s but arenât found on many tables and bartops these days. Think of it as a bougie tankard, one made from silver, which made them tough to dent when clinked for toasting (and easy enough for a silversmith to repair if the toasts got a little rambunctious). They were usually engraved with a monogram, as these canns are. They have WMP, a reference of course to William and Mary Paca.
USNAAAF receives $15M gift from alumnus
The Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation recently announced a significant donation from alumnus Michael Taylor â86. Taylorâs considerable resume includes time as a Naval Aviator, an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at UPenn, and a distinguished career at the investment firm HarbourVest. Taylorâs been supporting the Academy since 2006, but heâs also been a prominent figure in the Boston and Singapore alumni communities. Yes, the Naval Academy network runs far and wide. The Foundation plans on using his gift to create an endowment for current and future educational programs and will name a wing of the new Fluegel Alumni Center in his honor.
