Coming soon: Own a piece of Eastport history

Brad Kappel is about to list one of the most storied homes in Eastport. The former Inn at Horn Point is a 6 bedroom, 8 bathroom, Victorian retreat with coveted off-street parking.

Not only has this home welcomed thousands of guests who left five-star reviews, but the current owners – the first post B&B – recently updated it to create a perfect family compound.

Homes this size rarely come on the market in Eastport. Especially not mere steps from the water and Eastport’s small-but-mighty restaurant scene.

THE DIGEST

Navy vs. Notre Dame TV stats

3.56 million people tuned into Saturday’s Navy-Notre Dame game in Dublin. That’s good enough to be the second most-watched sporting event that weekend. NFL preseason reigned supreme 4.23 million. Just how many people is that? About 1x the population of Uruguay, 71x as many people as were in the stadium, and 87x the population of Annapolis. Navy’s home opener is next Saturday (9/8) against Wagner.

One month away: Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival

Kentucky has bluegrass. Annapolis has Baygrass. The Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival is back at Sandy Point State Park on September 30 and October 1 with 14 bands across 2 stages. And since the festival’s motto is Every Jam Saves the Bay, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Oyster Recovery Partnership, and Watershed Stewards Academy. Grab a GA ticket or go big with VIP.

VIP includes parking, a reusable cup with discounted refills, chef-prepared meals, and more.

Waterfront Living Vs. Inland

Living on the waterfront means having nature’s best water feature in your backyard, but how do you maintain such an investment? Yes, maintain, because with great views comes great responsibility. Waterfront living impacts the Chesapeake Bay, and there's much to consider, like wetlands, land disturbance, first-floor elevations for flooding, containing soil runoff…Are you still there?

There are many nuances that come with waterfront living, which limits your options for contractors, designers, and architects. Here’s the GOOD news: Our entire team are waterfront experts who make your needs and desires come to life. We sweat the little stuff, so you don’t have to! Remodeling has never been easier. Give us a call and let’s talk waterfront building!
