LOCAL BUSINESS
Cinco de Mayo is a month away, yes. But doesn’t a margarita sound perfect? We admit we’re partial to Jalapeños, tucked behind the Festival at Riva Shopping Center on Forest Drive. Yes, their bartenders know the correct lime-to-tequila ratio by heart, but the food is also astoundingly good. A mix of both Spanish and Mexican cuisine, you can get a staple like fish tacos or a standout like seafood paella, and both will make your heart sing like a mariachi band. Jalapeños is beloved by Naptown foodies, but it’s also popular with those who have food sensitivities or picky palates. And the decor just feels so. . . fun.
Kim Hovell releases the prettiest pickleball paddle around 🦪🏓
With Annapolis artist Kim Hovell’s recent release, one might say pickleball is getting out of HAND. But if you’re jumping on the pickleball wagon, why not do it in style? The gorgeous, lightweight paddle features Kim’s signature oyster artwork, also found on prints, pillows, candles, serving trays — the list goes on . . . So, why not paddles? Kim Hovell’s is USA Pickleball Association-approved and may even boost your accuracy. Grab it at Kim’s flagship store (151 Main Street) or online.
