THE DIGEST
Donations to disabled vet and daughter surpass $50K
Last week, we shared how Annapolis veteran Robert Henson, 85, needed money to renovate his small home near Truxtun Park. Robert lives with his daughter, Robin Henson, 43, who has cerebral palsy. Both are in wheelchairs. So the Anne Arundel County Veterans Affairs Commission launched a GoFundMe for repairs to the heroās home. And then things got crazy.
Donations have far surpassed $50,000! The GoFundMe has more than $40k pledged and Annapolis-based cybersecurity company SIXGEN. The CEO, Ethan Dietrich (a fellow vet), pledged to match donations up to $25,000. Well done, Annapolis. These are the stories we love to write. ($)
