Weekend summer concerts, Tara’s Gifts closing sale, AACPS new SMOB...

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Annapolis. Writing these intros feels like being the funny uncle sometimes. We have to come up with something new every time we see you and it isn’t always gonna be funny.

In today’s Naptown Scoop:

  • Weekend summer concerts

  • Tara’s Gifts closing sale

  • AACPS new SMOB

Let’s get to it.

Moving? Don't Pack. Don’t Haul. Just Call.

The minute you decide to move, your to-do list becomes a Herculean task. For mere mortals, it can take almost a month to pack up a one-bedroom apartment. That or an entire weekend without sleep.

Packing. Lifting. Junk everywhere. And that’s before you even grab a U-Haul and make a thousand back-breaking trips to load it. But here’s the good news. . .

U Relax Movers can do it all. Before the move? They’ll pack every last dish and haul away the junk. During the move? They’ll load it, drive it, and place it right where you want it. After the move? They’ll get rid of what’s left behind.

One team. Zero stress. It’s not just full-service — it’s total peace of mind.

So if you’re moving, don’t do it all. Just call. U Relax, We Move.

Capo Deli opens on Main Street 🥪

If you speak Italian (we don’t, but Google Translate is pretty nifty), you know capo means boss, and that feels pretty appropriate for Capo Italian Deli, where made-to-order, top-quality sandwiches can only be described as boss. They just opened up on Main Street earlier this week, taking the place where Jimmy John’s used to be. This is the DC chain’s second Maryland location, following its Potomac location in 2023. As a local bonus, Capo Deli of Annapolis is serving Hook ‘Em Right Coffee, owned by an Annapolitan retired Marine.

Tara’s Gifts holds closing sale 🏷️

It’s always sad to see a local business close up, but we can think of no better way for Tara’s Gifts in West Annapolis to say farewell and thank its loyal customers than with a closing sale this Saturday 10 AM – 4 PM. All of the shop’s inventory — including home décor, women’s accessories, and more — will be marked 70% off. The store will also be selling its furniture and racks. Stop by 10 Annapolis Street, Annapolis while supplies last.
