Pusser’s moving to Baltimore 😲
In a surprising twist, Pusser’s Caribbean Grille will move to the Lighthouse Marina in Baltimore with plans to be fully operational by next summer. Once the Annapolis location closes on October 31, Pusser’s Landing restaurant will take over the Drift Bar floating dock bar and interior space on the Canton waterfront. 🌊
Welp, it looks like we spoke too soon with a Farewell to Pusser’s article. Yet, our hearts still ache that the iconic restaurant and dock bar will no longer reside in our hometown city. On the bright side . . . Canton isn’t too far to travel for a world-famous Painkiller.🍹 ($)
Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken comes to Annapolis 🐓
Here’s something to cluck about: Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken is coming to Annapolis. The company just closed a deal to buy a freestanding property next to Gateway Village shopping center on Defense Highway and plans to open its 18th franchise there in 2025. This will be the second location for Sardi’s Peruvian Chicken in Anne Arundel County after a Glen Burnie location.

Theater Talk Tuesday 🎭
Comedy and romance take the stage with three productions having their opening weekends at their respective theaters. Here’s what’s coming up:
🪒 Annapolis Opera presents The Barber of Seville
This comedic opera follows a witty barber aiding a charming count to win the heart of a beautiful lady. It’s presented in Italian with English subtitles on Friday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 3 PM at Maryland Hall.
🛏 Compass Rose Theater presents Same Time, Next Year
This Tony-winning rom-com takes place over the course of 25 years as two lovers married to separate spouses meet for a secret rendezvous every year. It opens this weekend and runs through November 17.
🐸 CTA presents Tuck Everlasting
A little girl forges a secret friendship with an immortal family who’ve discovered the fountain of youth in this musical based on the beloved novel opening at Children’s Theatre of Annapolis this weekend and running through November 3.
Annapolis Scarecrow Stroll 👻 🎃
Get ready for a spooky stroll! The West Street 3rd annual Scarecrow Stroll runs October 20 to November 1, inviting businesses, groups, and families to deck out West Street (Circle to Circle).
Inner West Street Association (IWSA) is awarding prizes of up to $150 for the best-decorated spot! Register by October 10 and decorate by October 18. Public voting ends on October 25, and winners will be crowned at the IWSA Masquerade Ball on October 26. Keeping with the theme, lamp posts on West Street will be decorated with scarecrows too. Navy and Army rank in the AP Top 25 🏈
For the first time since 1960 (yes, that’s 64 years for those keeping count at home), Navy and Army football are ranked simultaneously on the Associated Press Top 25 list. Navy, which last made the list in 2019, is listed at 25 and Army is at 23.
Both teams are undefeated in the American Athletic Conference and will face off against each other on December 14. Their upcoming games, both against each other and against other teams, will affect their playoff and championship implications. ($)
