THE DIGEST
Go Bowling Military Bowl š
The holiday season is a busy time of year, so if youāre going to make time for the Go Bowling Military Bowl (because hey, we know you want to) happening on December 27 at Navy Stadium, you should probably get it on your calendar now. The game, which marks the culmination of Bowl Week, matches teams from the ACC and American Athletic Conference (which Navy plays in). It starts at 11 AM which is a good thing because thatās a busy day. There are six more bowl games and 3 NFL games later in the day. You can get tickets or watch on ESPN.
In last yearās game, ECU beat its rival NC State in a thriller where RB Rahjai Harris scored a game-winning, 86-yard TD late in regulation.
Fundraiser Focus: Katherineās Light Foundation š
Anyone who crossed paths with Katherine Mueller knows she was full of light. ⨠While she sadly passed in 2021 at the age of 31 from a rare form of cancer called neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), her legacy shines on. Local nonprofit Katherineās Light Foundation (KLF) will host its annual all-day music festival on June 14 from noon to 8 PM at Severna Park Taphouse. Enjoy live music indoors and under the big tent outside, plus food, drinks, auctions, and raffles ā all while raising funds for cancer research. Proceeds help KLF continue spreading hope and healing in Katherineās honor.

Theyāll christen the fireboats tomorrow as part of a public ceremony at 11 AM at Sandy Point, when both vessels will get their official names.
