It’s all about balance
Dr. Namita Murthy knows the art of balance – both in life and facial aesthetics. As a mother, business owner, double-board certified facial plastic surgeon, and a classically-trained singer, Dr. Murthy brings a unique perspective to plastic surgery in Annapolis.
Her training is impressive – starting with a prestigious Otolaryngology (ear, nose, & throat) residency followed by an advanced Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship awarded to only 46 surgeons a year.
She’s now practicing in Annapolis, blending a natural aesthetic with advanced surgical techniques to deliver refined results. Schedule a consultation today to see how Dr. Murthy can make your beauty sing.
THE DIGEST
Let’s get Kate to $5K in fundraising 🏃♀️🥇
A few weeks ago, we told you about how bestselling author and marathon runner Kate Myers is raising $5K to benefit Bras for Girls as she trains for the New York City Marathon. As of this writing, she’s almost (almost!) halfway to her fundraising goal with a little more than a month to go. Let’s see whether we can get her to the finish line (figuratively speaking, of course — getting to that literal finish line is gonna be up to her).
Remember, if you donate certain amounts, you could be eligible for a shout-out in her upcoming book, Salty:
📖 For $26.20, you will get a signed copy of the new book
📖 For $262, Kate will include your name in the Acknowledgments section of the new book. (First 50 donations)
📖 For $1,262, Kate will name a character in the book after you (potentially even a villain!)
Ready to donate? Visit her fundraising page.
Escape the vape 💨
Here’s one more reason why the library is so cool. Did you know the EPA considers vape pens hazardous waste? So instead of tossing your vape pens or cartridges in the trash, you can safely and anonymously drop them off in any Vape Take Back Bin at any branch of Anne Arundel County Public Library. This campaign runs all of October and honors National Prevention Month and Red Ribbon Week. 🌎
Board of Public Works approves $3.8 million for park upgrades and acquisitions 🌳🅿️
Maryland is sprucing up its parks! The Board of Public Works greenlit $3.8 million in grants from Program Open Space – Local to boost outdoor fun. The Department of Natural Resources established Program Open Space in 1969, symbolizing Maryland’s long-term commitment to conserving our natural resources while providing exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities.

Seven’s the magic number 😁
Most people don’t know this, but there are a handful of dental conditions that if addressed early, can save you a lot of complicated orthodontic treatment at a later age.
That’s why Annapolis Orthodontics created the First Look. The American Association of Orthodontics recommends a First Look by age 7.
First Looks are always complimentary, and despite what most people think, you don’t need a dentist’s referral.
Annapolis Orthodontics is locally owned and lovingly operated by Dr. Julie Langguth. Schedule a First Look with Dr. Julie today!
