It's goin' down. We’re yelling timber! Timber Pizza’s grand opening for their Annapolis location at 192 West St is next Tuesday, September 3. Ribbon cutting is at 4:30 PM. Doors open to the public at 5 PM.
Their motto? Peace, love, and carbs! The menu will largely mirror their D.C. location, featuring a rotating list of 12-inch wood-fire pies with unique ingredients like cured chorizo, pea shoot pesto, and roasted sweet potatoes. Co-founder Chris Brady – an Annapolis native – hints that Annapolis businesses will be featured on the beverage menu. Dinner starts daily at 5 PM, with lunch offered Friday-Sunday. Visit Timber Pizza Monday-Thursday and Sunday until 10ish PM, as well as Friday and Saturday until 11ish PM. You gotta love a business that is ish-y about closing time! 🍕 🍺 🍷

The Movers Who Care the Most
This isn’t our typical advertisement. We write 90% of the ads you see in the Scoop. It keeps everything in our trademark voice and provides extra value to our clients. They tell us what to promote and we write it. But not this time.
Since this is our first ad for U Relax Movers, we want to introduce you to them from our perspective. When we met the owner, Ronald, we were blown away.
His commitment to customer satisfaction, focus on the safety of his team, and care for his customer’s property was astounding. We’ve never seen that level of dedication from a moving company.
So no matter what kind of moving you need (local, long distance, commercial, even junk hauling!), U Relax Movers has the team and equipment to do it right. All U have to do is sit back and Relax.

Major Stories
Before we slam our laptops shut til Monday Tuesday, some reminders:
📣 Last chance to comment on Public Water Access: Give input on the City of Annapolis’ Public Water Access Plan before the end of August. It’s open to anyone: residents, business owners, or other stakeholders. Read the plan and submit your comment.
Correction: In our Monday edition of this story, we implied this plan was for Anne Arundel County; however the plan is only for the City of Annapolis. Sorry about that!

Hops and dreams 🍻
Anne Arundel County might be a rarity for breweries. Look around the country and it seems as if this type of business — once hugely popular — is a little glass half empty lately. In other words: breweries aren’t as popular as they used to be, and a lot of them are closing. Except in Anne Arundel County.
While there have been a few closures in recent years, most local breweries, including Forward Brewing, Crooked Crab Brewing Company, and Chesepiooc Real Ale Brewery, are doing great. Owners of local breweries credit their community-centered business models, as well as their focus on taprooms rather than trying to sell their beer wholesale. That’s what you might consider a hoppy ending.

Where were we Wednesday? 📸
ANSWER:
The first official day of fall isn’t actually until September 22, in case you were wondering, but in the retail world, it was Halloween 6 weeks ago. So this lil guy and his friends are hanging out waiting to be adopted at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville.
Thanks for playing and congrats to @caspohn, @on_thelowlow, and @briaannee_19 for being the first 3 to answer correctly.

WHAT’S HAPPENIN’
Foodie Friday 🍦🦀🍹

We know the weather has been toasty this week, so it kind of tracks that today is National Toasted Marshmallow Day! We cut away the fluff and found some local marshmallow treats that are 🔥. Let’s toast!
🧑🍳 Bake Believe Bakery specializes in artisan marshmallows, s'mores kits, and mallow treats. Owner Sara Nieburg’s hand crafted gourmet mallows come in fanciful flavors and colors like Blueberry Pie, Mango, and Cotton Candy. You can order to ship or find them at many local events, like the upcoming Greetings From Naptown Pop-up Market at Annapolis Town Center on Sept 7.
☕ Toasted Marshmallow Latte at The Coffee Trailer: The Coffee Trailer in Severna Park is a delightful roadside spot surrounded by a charming garden seating area. We sampled their Toasted Marshmallow Latte and were so impressed with the melty toasted marshmallow served on top and the creamy, light latte below. Fun fact: They use Bake Believe mallows!
🍦 Chocolate Marshmallow Ice Cream at Storm Bros. Ice Cream: Ok, this one may be a little bit of a stretch because it’s not “toasted” per se. But put it in a waffle cone and add some hot fudge, and you can pretend it’s a s’more!
