SPONSORED BY MURTHY FACIAL PLASTIC SURGERY
Dr. Namita Murthy is pleased to introduce FaceTite. In fact, sheās the only plastic surgeon in Annapolis offering FaceTite. So, what is FaceTite?
Think of FaceTite like a facelift without big incisions.
For a normal facelift, Dr. Murthy cuts in the hairline near your temple and around your ear to the lower scalp. She redistributes fat and tissue, redrapes the skin, and trims the excess. Very safe, but still major surgery.
With FaceTite, Dr. Murthy makes a series of pinhole incisions ā so small they donāt even need stitches. She first removes any excess fat and then uses radiofrequency waves (which also stimulate collagen production) to tighten and remodel skin. Itās done under local anesthesia with minimal recovery time.
FaceTite is a major breakthrough in facial contouring. Nothing else this minimally invasive even comes close to matching facelift results the way FaceTite does.
If your face and neck arenāt as tight as youād like, schedule a comfortable and personalized consultation with Dr. Murthy today.
Also follow Dr. Murthy on Instagram @drnamitamurthy for more information and future specials!
THE DIGEST
Superintendent stall
Vice Admiral Sean Buck should be making the guest list for his retirement party right now ā no small task after 40 years of Navy service. But a Senator from Alabama named Tommy Tuberville is holding up the party. The football coach turned Senator wonāt vote on flag officer nominations in protest of a new Department of Defense policy that gives travel allowances to military personnel for abortions. The protest is keeping incoming Superintendent Rear Admiral Yvette Davids from being confirmed. If Davids isnāt confirmed soon, Buck may have to stay on longer or the Academy could temporarily promote the Commandant, Colonel J.P. McDonough III. ($)

š Fourth of July roundup
Your dogās least favorite holiday is finally here. š„ Hereās whatās coming up:
Sherwood Forest fireworks. Monday 7/3 around 9 PM. A beloved tradition by one of Annapolisā most unique neighborhoods. Sherwood itself is a gated community but tons of people watch from the Severn River. Hop on a friendās boat or grab tickets for a Watermark cruise before they sell out. Or text your friends in āthe forestā (as they call it). The viewās great from dry land as well.
Annapolis parade and fireworks. Annapolis celebrates on Tuesday 7/4 with an evening parade, giving you time to drink grill all day. The parade steps off at 6:30 PM at Amos Garrett Boulevard and proceeds along West Street, around Church Circle, and down Main Street. At 8 PM, the Salvation Army Band performs patriotic music at City Dock.
At 9:15 PM, itās fireworks time. A grand display launches from a barge in the harbor. The best viewing places will be City Dock, Naval Academy Bridge, street end parks facing the harbor, and of course, any home with a clear view of the sky over the harbor. Parking info and road closures.
Severna Park Parade and bike contest. The annual decorated bike contest returns Tuesday. Kids are invited to pimp their bikes or trikes for categories Most Original, Most Beautiful, and Most Patriotic. Free registration is 9:15ā10 AM and contestants join the community parade ā usually the biggest in the area which starts at 10 AM.
Route: Begins at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and travels down Benfield Road, turning right onto Evergreen Parkway, left onto Riggs Avenue, then right onto B&A Blvd, left on Cypress Creek Road, ending at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church

SPORTS
ā½ Blues steamrolling toward postseason
Three things are firing on all cylinders for the Annapolis Blues: Offense, defense, and attendance. Even on a holiday weekend with smoke in the air and rain on the horizon, over 8,000 fans packed into Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for the Bluesā fourth home game on Saturday. And they didnāt let us down.
Fan-favorite striker Jacob Murrell buried a rebound about 20 minutes into the game and the Blues held on for a 1ā0 victory. With an impressive 8ā0ā1 record, the Blues have clinched the #1 playoff seed. That means in their first-ever season, their first-ever playoff game will be at home. And with near NPSL record-level attendance at every home game, home field advantage will be a huge boost. ($)
š Navy footballās 2023 recruiting class
Head football coach Brian Newberry released his 2023 recruiting class on Thursday. The list includes 64 prospects from 23 states ā including 9 from the great state of Maryland.
