A MESSAGE FROM CURRENT DERMATOLOGY

Introducing the Ultimate Skin-Firming Duo: Sculptra + Sofwave!

Sofwave and Sculptra are the incredible, summer-safe treatment pair you’ve been looking for when it comes to lifting, tightening, and firming the skin- anywhere on the body!

Sculptra is an injectable “biostimuator” that helps restore facial volume and smooth out wrinkles and folds. It works by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra works gradually over several months, producing longer-lasting effects.

Sofwave is the newest, non-invasive, FDA-cleared skin tightening treatment that uses ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin. It’s designed to improve skin laxity, reduce wrinkles, and enhance overall skin texture and tightness.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we are offering a FREE vial of Sculptra (worth $900) with any Sofwave treatment at Current Dermatology! Call 410-384-3045 to book your complimentary treatment consult today!

Fake text scam targets E-Z Pass users 🚘

Attorney General Anthony G. Brown is warning consumers of a new scam in which text messages claim to represent a road toll collection service and ask for unpaid toll money. Here’s an example of the scam text:

Maryland Toll Services: We've noticed an outstanding toll amount of $12.51 on your record. To avoid a late fee of $50.00, visit (scammers website) to settle your invoice.

Never pay or reveal personal info to anyone who contacts you through a text about a toll debt. Also, avoid clicking any links! Find details for filing a complaint if you receive a text like this, or learn what to do if you have paid money by mistake.

County Council votes down affordable housing 🏠

Proposed zoning for affordable housing got the no-go from the County Council last week after testimony from residents. The Region 4 plan would have increased the number of dwelling units per acre on certain properties, but residents pointed to the increased traffic and environmental effects. Region 4 covers Severna Park, Pasadena, Arnold, Cape St. Claire, Broadneck, and Gibson Island.

Although the council voted down the latest changes, it will continue looking at the Region 4 plan at its upcoming meeting on June 3. ($)

A MESSAGE FROM ST. ANNE’S SCHOOL

Does Your School Empower Students to Be Changemakers?

Throughout the educational journey at St. Anne’s School, students are not only provided with opportunities to engage with local organizations, but they are actively encouraged to explore community issues, ask hard questions, and speak up. More than just community service, our students are engaged in curriculum-based service learning, and it culminates in the Eighth Grade year with the Beliefs in Action Capstone Project. This year, our Eighth Grade students chose to explore a wide range of topics from mental and physical health, to conservation and sustainability, to education and housing inequality. Students, teachers, staff, and family members watched as Eighth Grade students presented on issues that mattered most to them. Through this Capstone process, St. Anne’s School students learn about themselves and others as they explore essential questions and community issues. Education at St. Anne’s School is meaningful, values-driven, and empowers our students to be leaders in the community. Find out how your student can become a changemaker at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis.

WHAT’S HAPPENIN’

Let’s Go! Music Fest starts tomorrow 🎶 🎸

We’ll always have a soft spot for the Let’s Go! Music Festival. The homegrown music fest is this weekend – May 31 to June 2 – rain or shine – at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds.

Liz Rawlings and Chris Hartman, sibling co-founders of the festival, are excited to welcome the crowds back for the fourth year. Chris said, “Let's Go! Music Festival is all about bringing great music and great people together.” Liz notes, “Let’s Go! is our love letter to Annapolis. We pride ourselves on creating a backyard vibe where you can relax, bring your own chair, and feel at home while enjoying amazing performances, delicious food and drink, and everything that makes our community so special.”

Headliners to watch are Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, The Band Camino, The Revivalists, Daughtry, and Bush. Check out the full lineup!

Good news: Tickets are still available for all 3 days, but act fast because some ticket types are starting to sell out (like Friday GA+ Party Dock).
