THE DIGEST
Holly Beach Farm ➡️ DNR
The Maryland Board of Public Works approved the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s donation of Holly Beach Farm to the Department of Natural Resources last week. The 293-acre bayfront property just south of the Bay Bridge will eventually become an important public water access point; about 90% of the Bay’s shoreline is privately owned. However. . .
Things will move slowly. DNR still has to do due diligence before the closing and smart people have to figure out how to keep traffic manageable. Anyone who lives by the Bay Bridge knows summer traffic can literally trap you at home. We’ll keep you updated as things progress.
