TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Annapolis. Whatever yesterday’s weather was, more of that, please.

Let’s get to it.

P.S. Happy birthday to Kellie Ramer!

If the Ritz-Carlton did plastic surgery

Surgery’s scary. Will it hurt? Who’s going to drive me? So many questions. But what if it went like this?

A private car drives you to the surgery center. They’ll also take you home and to post-operative appointments.

You spend the night in a quiet, peaceful hotel. Your surgeon visits to make sure everything’s going to plan. Don’t worry about when they leave. You can text your surgeon any time – including nights and weekends.

All you have to do is rest and recover. It should take 5–7 days. Sounds too good to be true, right?

It isn’t at Murthy Facial Plastic Surgery. Customer comfort is so important to Dr. Murthy that she crafted an unmatched concierge experience. Schedule a consultation today and start the journey to your most authentic self.

Never missed a game

Did you know Navy’s football and basketball scoreboard operator, Dave Hoffman, hasn’t missed a game since he started the job in the late 90s? He’s a 1962 graduate who spent over 1 year as a POW at Hỏa Lò Prison (aka the Hanoi Hilton) during the Vietnam War. Learn more. ($)

Annapolis High earns Unified Champions Award

Maryland Special Olympics and ESPN honored Annapolis High School Friday for “meeting national standards of excellence in the areas of inclusion, advocacy, and respect.” Unified Sports join people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. A-High offers unified bocce, tennis, and bowling. It’s more than sports, though. Students can also take unified PE, dance, and leadership classes. Only 5 schools throughout the country earned the award this year. ($)

ASO concertmaster & airline pilot

As far as we know, when Netanel Draiblate takes off as a First Officer with Endeavor Air, he’s the only one in the world who’s also an orchestra concertmaster. He’s been playing violin with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra for years.

Netanel started flying when a girlfriend got him a 1-hour lesson for his birthday. He loved it, so he booked his own lessons thereafter. Look out for Netanel at the airport soon. As (likely) the only pilot with a violin hanging off his suitcase, he isn’t hard to spot.

Our friends at Annapolis Performance Coatings worked on a beautiful Porsche 911 last week. Porsche calls that Shark Blue but we think it could just as easily be called Scoop Blue.

Local Business

⚠️ Scam Alert ⚠️

Hey, business owners. Don’t fall for this. Some people who can’t figure out how to make money the real way are sending letters to businesses requiring a check or money order for an “elective Maryland Certificate of Good Standing with an official seal of the Secretary of State.” These don’t exist. Some MD businesses do need a certificate of good standing, but it comes from the Department of Assessments and Taxation.
