2025-2026 School Calendar 🗓️
Big news for AACPS families — the 2025-2026 school calendar is out. Class is in session on August 25, 2025, with the final bell scheduled on June 17, 2026.
The school board designed ✌️ choices and surveyed the public, receiving nearly 9,300 responses. The first option kept schools open December 22-23, with the last day on June 15. The second closed school 12/22–23, moving the last day to June 17, preventing a two-day week and giving families more time to travel. Option 2 received 82% of the votes in the survey, along with the backing of Superintendent Bedell and the board.
The calendar includes a three-day Thanksgiving break, six-day Easter/Spring break, and closures for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Eid al-Fitr, plus three inclement weather days. See the complete 2025-2026 schedule.
