It’s all about balance
Dr. Namita Murthy knows the art of balance – both in life and facial aesthetics. As a mother, business owner, double-board certified facial plastic surgeon, and a classically-trained singer, Dr. Murthy brings a unique perspective to plastic surgery in Annapolis.
Her training is impressive – starting with a prestigious Otolaryngology (ear, nose, & throat) residency followed by an advanced Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship awarded to only 46 surgeons a year.
She’s now practicing in Annapolis at a newly renovated, larger office located at 2635 Riva Road, Suite 102, Annapolis, MD 21401, blending a natural aesthetic with advanced surgical techniques to deliver refined results. Schedule a consultation today to see how Dr. Murthy can make your beauty sing.
THE DIGEST
Hillsmere Shores Marina undergoes full shoreline restoration 🦪
Whether you’re looking at local or national news, you know storm damage is a big problem — and it’s only getting worse every year. So Arundel Rivers Federation has teamed up with Hillsmere Shores Improvement Association to undertake a $900K shoreline restoration project to protect Hillsmere Shores Marina on Duvall Creek.
650 feet of living shoreline — with oyster reefs, grasses, dunes, and more — will protect the marina from increasingly damaging storms, high tides, and erosion. The project will not only make the coastline more resilient but also protect wildlife habitats. It’s set to be finished by the end of November. ($)
SRA unveils Severn River action plan 🌊
The Severn River Association (SRA) is making waves with its new Severn River Action Plan (SRAP), a long-term roadmap for restoring the Severn River watershed. Focusing on improving water quality and high-priority areas like Weems Creek, the plan replaces older reports with a clearer, more strategic approach.
The SRAP ranks subwatersheds, ensuring resources go to high-impact areas. Action plans for each subwatershed will follow in order of ranking. Successfully implementing these projects is critical to achieving a healthier and thriving Severn River by 2050 (the SRA’s goal). See the report summary or dive into the full report.

Capo Deli coming to Naptown 🥪
One sub shop moves out and another moves in — DC-based Capo Deli is opening up in downtown Annapolis where Jimmy John’s vacated last December. The Italian-style sub shop has 5 locations throughout Maryland, Virginia, and DC, though this marks the first one in Anne Arundel County. Brian Vasile (an Anne Arundel resident himself) and Andy Seligman of Montgomery County established Capo in 2017. The Annapolis location still has to finalize permitting, but the owners hope to open by the end of 2024. ($)
