Ogle Hall's back on the market, two grand openings at ATC, packed weekend...
TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Annapolis. Scoop has a strict no endorsement policy for politicians, but we donât have the same policy for golfers. And for reasons we wonât disclose, we are throwing our full support behind Max Homa at the Masters this weekend.
In todayâs Naptown Scoop:
Bay Bridge Boat Show
Two grand openings
MLK Parade
Letâs get to it.

Spring is in the air đ
You know that neighbor who had the perfect green lawn last summer? They started preparing for that in spring, likely with Lawn Doctor. Let me explain.
Winter is rough on grass. Cold makes it go dormant, kind of like a hibernating bear. Lawn Doctorâs spring care programs use tried and true methods like essential fertilization to control spring weeds and bare patches to rejuvenate your grass and protect it from future damage.
And their expertise doesnât stop there. Theyâll even give you mowing techniques so your grass will be the envy of the neighborhood all summer long. Get your free quote today!
THE DIGEST
Ogle Hall is back on the market
If youâve ever dreamed of owning a historic 18th century mansion that once served as the home of three Maryland governors and the Naval Academy Alumni Association, hereâs your (second) chance. Fair Winds Capital Investments is selling Ogle Hall on King George Street after buying it for $4.65 million from the USNA Alumni Association about three years ago.
During their brief ownership, the investors put forth plans to turn the mansion into an inn and event venue. The City of Annapolis said the inn was fine but stiff armed the event venue. As of this week, commercial real estate websites declared the historic property âjust listedâ for an undisclosed asking price.

Reynolds Tavern Sold đŤ
Before you fret, Andrew and Jill Petit sold the building that hosts Reynolds Tavern to locals Dave and Diane Rey. Two items to note:
The Reys are committed to preserving its centuries-old charm and significance.
Wes and Marilyn Burge â who have leased the premises since 2003 â will continue to lease and operate Reynolds Tavern and the 1747 Pub for the foreseeable future.
Brokers from Hyatt Commercial represented both sides of the transaction â Dennis Murphy and Phil Hager on the buyer side. Justin Mullen, Cecil Cummins, & John Gallagher on the seller side. Publisherâs note: John Gallagher and I went to the same high school. Go Stags đŚ
đ Whatâs that âcenturies-old charm and significanceâ we mentioned? Well, Reynolds Tavern is super old and super cool. A hatter named William Reynolds built it in 1747 and once hosted the Old Fox himself, George Washington. It was almost torn down to build a gas station in the 30s but the Anne Arundel County Public Library bought it for 20 large to prevent that.
Wildberry Farm spring hours
Hereâs a good reason to get out early this weekend. Wildberry Farm is done with winter hours and spring hours are here. Itâs not the full field market â those start June 8 â but it will have to do. Stop by from 9 AM to noon on the second and fourth Saturdays of April and May for breakfast, baked goods, and farm-fresh eggs. This weekend you can even build your own bouquets from Sweet Annieâs Flower Shop or take a class with Yoga Barn (10 AM sharp). 1047 St Stephens Church Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.

WHATâS HAPPENINâ
Bay Bridge Boat Show đĽď¸
We donât usually cover Kent Island events but we make exceptions for boat shows and crab cakes. Climb aboard a variety of powerboats at the Bay Bridge Boat Show this weekend at the Bay Bridge Marina just across the Bay. Itâs a great way to start boating season with food, beer, and of course, boats. Friday and Saturday hours: 10 AMâ6 PM, Sunday: 10 AMâ5 PM. Get tickets (which may be discounted if you buy online). Children under 15 are free.
Donât forget the MLK Parade
If you havenât made plans to watch the MLK Parade yet, donât wait! Weâve drawn the route below and the parade starts at noon on Saturday (4/13). Streets along the route will close shortly before the parade steps off at noon.
âšď¸ Wondering why MLKâs parade is in April when his holiday is in January? January isnât the best time for parades so organizers moved it to April permanently.
Itâs a great day for croquet
Tickets are now sold out for the 40th Annapolis Cup Croquet Tournament. This friendly competition between the Johnnies and the Mids has firmly established itself on Annapolisâ social calendar so itâs not surprise itâs sold out. Now all I want to know is why isnât there a croquet emoji?
