TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Annapolis. Did you know there’s also an Annapolis in California, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, and Washington?

In today’s Naptown Scoop:

  • Board member opportunity

Let’s get to it.

A Brad Kappel Team Exclusive – Waterfront Living on Whitehall Creek

Here's something exclusive. As we mentioned last week, some of Annapolis' most sought-after waterfront properties never reach the public market. This is one of them.

This stunning Whitehall Creek retreat in the sought-after Amberley community is designed for the ultimate waterfront lifestyle. Thoughtfully curated by a local interior designer, the home features 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and an open floor plan with a gourmet kitchen, vaulted ceilings, and a stone fireplace. Step outside to a spacious waterside deck or head down to your private pier for a day on the water.

As a Naptown Scoop reader, you get an exclusive first look at this incredible home. And with privacy, luxury, and direct Bay access, it won’t last long.

THE DIGEST

SOUPer Bowl scores $5,600 and goes into overtime 👏

Whether you’re an Eagles fan (looking at you, Ryan) or not . . . here’s something to cheer about! The SOUPer Bowl Lunch raised $5,600 for the Light House Homeless Prevention Center! A crowd of 150 came out to Heritage Baptist Church on gameday to support the cause.

More good news: The online donation portal will stay open until February 17. Select “Give Now” then “SOUPer Bowl”. You can also mail donations to Heritage Baptist Church, 1740, Forest Drive, Annapolis 21401 or drop them off Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM.

All proceeds support the Light House in preventing homelessness and empowering people toward self-sufficiency.

Board members wanted: AACPL 📚

Consider this a volunteer opportunity for the books. Two positions are available on the Anne Arundel County Public Library Board of Trustees — the first is for a full-term trustee, and the second is for a one-year student member. Both will become part of the 18-member board responsible for making crucial decisions for our local library system. Board meetings are held at 4 PM on the third Thursday of every month (with a break July–August) at library branches around the county. Applications are due by March 7. Learn more and apply.

ATC Hosts “Love With Purpose” to benefit Red Cross

Looking for a way to give back to your community? This weekend, Annapolis Town Center is kicking off its Love With Purpose: Where Love and Compassion Come Together for Disaster Relief campaign to raise money for the American Red Cross. Between Friday and Sunday, come down and have fun in their floral photo op; leave a note for a loved one on their message wall; and most importantly, leave a donation to directly benefit relief efforts.

Dog of the Week: Meet Binx đŸž

This big guy has a broad smile that’s sure to win you over. In fact, it’s probably important to establish that Binx is big and broad, because he’s strong — and he needs an adopter willing to work on his training and guarding issues. You might notice this boxer/terrier/pit bull mix has a bit of a wobble to his walk due to his cerebellar dysfunction, but don’t worry . . . he’s otherwise happy and healthy. He’s been with the SPCA for three years now and is available for visits in the dog room at 1815 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, 21403.

LOCAL BUSINESS

Rumhouse to open Feb. 19 🌴🍹

The Caribbean might feel far-off place from Annapolis in the middle of winter, but a taste of the tropical sea comes a little closer to us next week. Rumhouse Caribbean Dining opens Feb. 19 at 422 Sixth Street in Eastport. The menu boasts all kinds of chef-prepared Caribbean cuisine, but the star of the establishment (as its name suggests) is rum. So if you love a classic mojito or other flavorful cocktails, this may be the place to, as the pirates say, drink up, me hearties, yo ho. 🏴‍☠️
