Something to Smile about đŚˇ
Story by Lauren Burke Meyer
As someone who chipped a tooth belly flopping off the high dive, I assure you, having a top-notch dentist is essential.
This month, Morabito Family Dental celebrates one year at 200 Forbes St, Suite 301, across from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in West Annapolis.
This practice isnât just family-owned, itâs TRULY family-run since most of the staff is family or treated like it. The practice includes Co-owners David P. Morabito, DDS and Robert Morabito, DDS. David started helping out at his dadâs practice when he was still in elementary school. Six months ago, Robert sold his Falls Church practice after 20+ years to join David in Annapolis. Robertâs wife, SueAnn Morabito and daughter, Ashley Morabito head up the business team.
After a conversation with the father-son dentist duo, I felt like part of the family. Which is no surprise because they treat their patients like family too.
When it comes to teeth, theyâre a one-stop-shop. Beyond traditional teeth cleanings, they can do oral surgery, fillings, crowns, implants, teeth whitening, sleep apnea therapy. . . you name it. From the first tooth to the last tooth, the Morabitos have you covered.
They know families are busy, so they offer flexible hours before and after work, plus Saturdays. Funny, my current dentist only seems to have openings at tooth-hurty!
Another fun fact: during dental school, David drummed for a band called Plaque Sabbath. Unsurprisingly, all band members are now practicing dentists.
The best news of all? Theyâre accepting new patients. Call 443-603-9000.
Something else about their business you donât hear often? They are insurance friendly. Meaning they take a lot of different insurances. How minty fresh ⌠I mean refreshing.

WHATâS HAPPENINâ
Why we said this weekend might be the last Tug of War đŞ˘
As we all (hopefully) know, City Dock is about to undergo a major reimagination. And since thatâs where the Annapolis side pulls from in the annual Slaughter Across the Water, MRE Minister of Land Logistics Tom Cagle told us this weekend might be the last Tug. Weâre hoping thatâs not the case. Aside from being a mega-fun Annapolis tradition, the Tug is part of how the MRE raises tens of thousands of dollars for local nonprofits every year.
Regardless, hereâs our guide to enjoying the Tug of War this Saturday. It starts at the crack oâ noon!
