THE DIGEST
Have you thought about Valentineās Day yet?
This is not a drill. Valentineās Day is one week from tomorrow. Lucky for you, if youāve given zero thought to your plans, weād love to help you out. Weāve corralled multi-course menus and more at 11 local restaurants. And if you really want to make it special, weāve rounded up some hotel and B&B deals, too. Check it out and get booking!
Heads up: Mass casualty training at NSA
Unlike the above, this is a drill. Naval Support Activity Annapolis (NSA) is participating in an anti-terrorism force protection exercise from now until February 16. The main event takes place tomorrow morning (2/7) and includes security forces responding to a simulated active shooter. So if youāre near NSA (right next to Greenbury Point), you may hear simulated gunfire and see lots of emergency vehicles, but thereās no cause for alarm.
Books by Johnnies launches

So, go ahead and find your next read.
Publisherās note: Scoop writer Dylan Roche who wrote this story, also happens to be a published author. His first book, The Purple Bird, is a fantasy novel that follows James Shannassy to the world of Nalgordia as he attempts to break a centuries-old curse.
