THE DIGEST

Sharks of the Chesapeake 🦈

Who stayed up late last night watching Day 1 of Shark Week? ✋ ICYMI, some of us here at the Scoop are shark-obsessed and therefore, decided to research sharks in the Chesapeake Bay. And guess what? There’s kind of a lot of them.

If you missed it in our July 4th issue, be sure to check out these shark stats, facts, and even some local history in the article Sharks of the Chesapeake Bay.

Torch Run blazes through town 🔥

We’re not normally fans of seeing the Bay Bridge close down (because traffic) but we consider this a worthy cause: the Law Enforcement Torch Run. This Wednesday (7/10), police officers will run the westbound span of the bridge carrying a torch to raise awareness for Special Olympics Maryland. The run begins around 10 AM and the right and center lanes will be closed. Follow the MDTA for updates.

We love new students too! So much that we have 2 great deals for you – either 10 classes in 30 days for $29 or unlimited classes in 30 days for $39.
