WHAT’S HAPPENIN’

Our last pitch for Blazers . Bourbon . Cigars (maybe)

By now it’s no secret that Scoop loves Blazers . Bourbon . Cigars. And no, not those three things individually although they are all wonderful. We’re talking about Historic Annapolis’ huge fundraiser next week. It’s one of the best guys nights/networking events/excuses to break out the blazer your unfashionable colleague Jerry mocks you for wearing. We proudly spread the word and Scoop’s sister company, Royal Flush, proudly brings the bathrooms. Really nice bathrooms, I might add. So we hope to see you in the garden on September 26. No need to bring your own cigars or bourbon but you’ll definitely want to take your favorite blazer to the dry cleaner this week. Get tickets!

AACPL Hispanic Heritage Month 💃 📚 🎶

If you’re wondering how to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month . . . look no further! The Anne Arundel County Public Library is hosting tons of events across its various branches from September 15-October 15. There’s plenty of dancing, storytimes, songs, games like Lotería (similar to bingo), and crafts. That’s just the beginning of the fun for all ages! See a list of 19 featured events and even more events here!

Walk Like MADD Event this Saturday🚶‍♀️‍➡️

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving. The 2024 Walk Like MADD Maryland event is their signature fundraising event to raise awareness and funds. Join the walk around Kinder Farm Park in Severna Park on September 21 at 9 AM.

Thanks to Scoop reader Megan Moore for letting us know about the event. Megan and team will be walking to honor her son Noah, who was killed in a drunk driving crash in 2021. Anyone who would like to walk with the Love Noah #25 team is invited to join the team or donate.
