Raise your hand if you didnāt know AACPS had a limit on virtual learning days.šāāļø Spoiler: itās eight. After using up all five built-in inclement weather days, AACPS went virtual Tuesday and Wednesday for the first time this year. We now only have six virtual learning days left before adding school days and cutting into summer break to meet the stateās 180-day requirement. We can already hear boos from the class on that option. With snow in next weekās forecast, more virtual days could be on the way . . . ($)
Annapolisā Annual Report š
Our team at Naptown Scoop can tell you thereās a lot happening around Annapolis on any given day. So when the City of Annapolis publishes its Annual Report at the end of the year, we like to nerd out over the official numbers that sum the last 365 days (or 366 days, since last year was a Leap Year).
For example, did you know the cityās public transit gave 307,000 rides? Or that the city gave out 561 citations (the good kind)? Or that Public Works hauled 7,335 tons of trash? Want to take a look at all the details and see all the numbers for yourself? Check it out.

LOCAL BUSINESS
Foodie Friday š
Winter doesnāt have much going for it ā but at least itās Soup Season. In honor of this sacred time, weāre sharing superior soups to savor.
š¦ Boatyard Bar & Grill
400 Fourth St, Annapolis, MD 21403
Honestly, the hardest choice is picking just one soup, which is why we usually go with option 3.
1. Have a bowl of their delicious Cream of Crab, full of lump crabmeat and laced with sherry.
2. Or, a cup of spicy Maryland Crab, also full of lump crabmeat.
3. Why pick one when you can combine options 1 and 2 for the perfect Yin and Yang?!
š¶ļø Davisā Pub
400 Chester Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403
Davisā motto: āWhere there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met.ā One soup to meet is their Chili. The pub classic comes with diced onions, melted cheddar, and tortilla chips.

The Choptank
110 Compromise Street, Annapolis, MD 21401
Ryan canāt stop talking about their Chicken & Sausage Gumbo. So do yourself a favor and grab a bowl of this smoked sausage, chicken, okra, and rice concoction.
š² Pho 5UP
2625 Riva Rd D, Annapolis, MD 21401
They havenāt been open long, but 177 reviews and 4.4 rating make this a great choice. Like, pho show! Meat lovers should try the rare steak or meatball. Vegetarians will enjoy their tofu and vegetable option.
Atlas Restaurant Group reveals new spot for Stevens Hardware building
It may be hard to believe but Mission BBQ closed downtown over a year ago. And now we finally know whatās replacing it ā the Admiralās Cup. Itās the second location for the Admiralās Cup, which has been a Fells Point staple since the 80s. Copy and pasting a Baltimore restaurant to Annapolis is a familiar move for Atlas. They did it with the Choptank incredibly successfully.
The Admiralās Cup in Fells is known for live music and a lively atmosphere and this one will be no different. Atlas expects to open the doors this summer.
